Papa John's International Engineering Lead in Louisville, Kentucky

Duties:

Provide application support for software running in production. Develop in-store system future state architecture and drive implementation from current state – chunk the steps to be included in iterations going forward. Drive key software initiatives and projects. Own technical SME/liaison with third-party driven projects in the Store Tech domain. Identify product enhancements to prove out and align to future state architecture. Contribute to enterprise-wide tools to drive automation and engineering empowerment. Create foundational code elements that can be reused. Proactively review the performance, capacity, and security of all aspects of production: code, infrastructure, data, and message processing. Position allows for partial remote work (hybrid) reporting to the Louisville, KY office 2 – 3 days per week.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related. Requires 5 years of progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience. Must have some experience in each of the following skills: Java/J2EE, SQL; Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and Enterprise/Integration Patterns; Experience in modern micro service-based architectures and methodologies: SOAP web services, RESTful web services, timeouts, and circuit-breaker pattern. Experience in a cloud computing platform (such as Google Cloud Platform), including security when calling cloud-based services; QSR point of sale; and Messaging technologies: JMS, Google Pub/Sub, Artemis, and Tibco.
